Threat Analyst [2021-34]

MOSSAIC National Space Defense Center (NSDC)

The Department of Defense (DoD) has established a National Space Defense Center (NSDC), in conjunction with U.S. Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM), Air Force Space Command (AFSPC), and the Intelligence Community. The center, located at Schriever Air Force Base (AFB) in Colorado Springs, Colorado (CO), will create unity of effort and facilitate information sharing across the national security space enterprise and will have direct ties to existing operational activities and capabilities associated with the DSC2-D and Joint Space Operations Center (JSpOC). Ultimately, the output of the NSDC will enhance U.S. space operations, contribute to operational command and control within the DoD, and improve the nation's ability to protect and defend critical national space infrastructure in an increasingly contested space environment.

The Threat Analyst(s) will play a critical role in the NSDC Capabilities Integration Office (NCIO) which will ultimately provide the NSDC a centralized office containing all necessary resources to efficiently bring together, schedule, integrate and operate capabilities in support of the Space Defense mission. All mission integration support personnel assigned shall be under the operational control of the NSDC Mission Director and contractual authority/scope changes will only come through the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC)/SYK.
