Senior Operations Research Analyst [2023-014]

Space Operations

ITS, LLC. is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to join our Colorado Springs, CO team. The primary task will be focused on developing a space mission analysis framework and dashboard, including establishing the necessary supporting data pipelines for the Commander of Space Forces (COMSPACEFOR), Space Operations Command, United States Space Force. Successful candidates should have experience developing and implementing mathematical and statistical models to solve various problems across multiple domains. Experience and familiarity with the space domain is preferred. An active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.



Responsibilities:

•Understanding customer requirements, adjusting analytical efforts to meet those requirements, and effectively communicating results

•Developing and implementing mathematical and statistical models to solve various problems across multiple domains

•Ability to coordinate with senior managers and decision-makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives

•Work as part of a contractor team working alongside a broader team of government and contract staff

•Strong quantitative and analytic abilities to integrate and analyze data

•Proficiency with Python

•Experience with Excel VBA

•Experience developing and implementing mathematical and statistical models



Desired:

•A Ph.D. in operations research or a theoretical science field

•10+ years of experience

•Experience in DoD space and joint force programs

•Experience with the Warp Core and/or Envision platforms

•Experience with NumPy, scikit-learn, keras, PyTorch, Tensorflow, Pandas, SymPy, SPSS, PSPP, SymPy, SAS, JMP

•Programming experience with Python, MATLAB, R, SQL

•Experience with Excel VBA


Master of Science degree in operations research or related technical field

5 years of experience

Peterson SFB

Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $120,000 - $130,000. Please note, salary is based on education, experience, and responsibilities.
