Cyber Operations Analyst (COA) [2022-078]

The Cyber Operations Analyst role is designed to defend, respond, report, mitigate, and restore enterprise systems before, during and after exploitation has occurred. This effort will include the staffing required to accomplish a total of 60 missions/DIB partner Assistance visits per calendar year. Due to the specialized nature of this work, the contractor staff supporting the Cyber Threat Hunting mission must be exceptionally well qualified, to include extensive technical work experience in the areas described, formal and informal education/training and possess the required industry technical certification(s).

Required Skills:

• IAT Level 1 (A+ CE, CCNA Security, Network+ CE, CND, SSCP)

• Experience developing and delivering cyberspace operations support

• Knowledge of Cybersecurity and Cyberspace Operations doctrine, and policy implementation

• Ability to formulate recommendations for corrective action to address identified risks and support

• Knowledge of management and monitoring of various network security components, devices, and services

• Knowledge of how various network security tools, including Splunk, Symantec Security Information Manager - SSIM, and McAfee Host Based Security System, are configured

• Knowledge of modern computer systems, client and server, LAN/WAN and Network concepts, modern network management, and security monitoring concepts

• Knowledge of implementing Security Patching

• Ability to advise on network security issues, and enforce network security and vulnerability mitigation policies and procedures

• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Possession of strong project management and organization skills, including the ability to draft clear and concise reports, and to brief daily network security summaries, issues, and concerns to senior leaders and a larger audience

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000. Please note, salary is based on education, experience, and responsibilities.
