Software Engineer [2022-071]


Job Description:

Perform C2 system software development, design, implementation, test, and configuration management. The ideal candidate should have experience with the full software development lifecycle and cyber security and systems administration. This position is located in Dahlgren, Virginia and requires a Secret Security Clearance.

Essential Functions:

• Linux and Windows system administration

• Application of Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to Windows and Linux based operating systems

• Producing and updating Bodies of Evidence (BoEs) such as Ports, Protocols, and Services Management (PPSM), Hardware/Software Lists, and Accreditation Boundaries

• Interpretation and action planning of ACAS scan results

Required Skills:

• Active Secret security clearance, clearable to TS/SCI

• Current CompTIA Security+ Certification or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire

• Knowledgeable in the full software development lifecycle from requirements elicitation to deployment

• Strong written and verbal skills

• Meticulous organization of open software tasks

• Demonstrated proficiency with the C-programming language

• Familiar with programming using an Object Oriented Programming language (i.e. C++, java, C#, etc.)

• Familiar with scripting languages (i.e. Bash, c-Shell, etc.)

• Thorough understanding of software engineering principles and industry best practices, including Agile development

Preferred Additional Skills:

• Familiar with FORTRAN

• Familiar with containerization and microservices technologies

Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary / Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $120,000 - $150,000. Please note, salary is based on education, experience, and responsibilities.
