Windows Systems Administrator [2022-065]

We are looking to hire a skilled Windows Administrator to manage and maintain our Windows system and server network. In this role, you will be responsible for installing or upgrading Windows-based systems and servers, managing user access to the servers, and maintaining the security and stability of the network.

To ensure success as a Windows Administrator, you should have in-depth knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance, advanced coding skills, and the ability to solve complex IT issues. Ultimately, a top-class Windows Administrator ensures the smooth running of the company’s networking and server systems, while maintaining a high level of security.

Responsibilities:

• Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems.

• Discussing system and server upgrades with IT managers.

• Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.

• Providing technical support for staff and back-end system users.

• Troubleshooting system and server errors.

• Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.

• Monitoring and updating the Windows codebase.

• Managing user access.

• Monitoring system performance.

• Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups.



Required Skills:

Required:

• Minimum 5 years of experience working in a Windows

environment.

• Experience working in a Linux/Unix

environment.

• Performs performance analysis on Operating Systems including Microsoft and/or RHEL (7 & 8).

• Minimum 2 years of experience with application administration.

• Familiar with build automation (kickstart, ansible, Chef, Bash).

• Familiarity with scripting.

• Expereince with virtualization (KVM or VMWare hypervisor).

• Experience managing system services.

• Experience with SEIM Tools (like Splunk).

• Familiarity with Firewall/ACL concepts.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes or some container orchestration experience.

• Recommends and implements engineering design changes required to

adapt technical requirements.

• Performs daily review of relevant system logs and identifies problem

areas or trends and takes the proper action and generates required

reports.

• Support reviews, development, creation, and redline of plant-in-place

documentation of tables, specifications, characteristics, schedules,

diagrams, rack elevations, and other technical data elements.

• Support critical operations during standard and non-standard working

hours.

• Generates, collects, redlines, incorporates, and produces system

documentation as required.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000. Please note, salary is based on education, experience, and responsibilities.
