Sr Info Security Systems Engineer (ISSE) [2022-023]

Cybersecurity

Perform as Security Control Validator in the eMASS Control Approval Chain, performing security control review and validation. Perform as technical interface and designated liaison for organizations requesting approval for IT solution proof of concept testing. Support government lead with documentation, maintenance, technical evaluation, and status reporting of innovative IT solutions. Leverage RMF templates to create and update RMF-required artifacts such as Access Control Plans, Configuration Management Plans, Contingency Plans, Continuity of Operations Plans, and Incident Response Plans. Manage RMF activities and packages for existing and new systems IAW DoD and AF policies. Develop artifacts and complete RMF lifecycle activities IAW DoDI 8510.01.

Required Skills:

• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity governance such as DoDI 8500.1, DoDI 8510.01, AFI 17-101, and AFMAN 17-1301.

• Familiarity with implementing procedures, methods, and tools, that comply with NIST RMF security controls/requirements (NIST 800-53, 800-37) and derivative child processes.

• Knowledge of data flows principles (e.g., TCP/IP, OSI model).

• Experience with vulnerability management process to include implementing patches, scanning, remediating findings, auditing.

• Experience maintaining up-to-date cybersecurity configurations based on DISA STIGs and IAVM Notices.

• Experience supporting operating system patching in compliance with security policy and procedures.

• Works with ISSOs supporting audits, and STIG compliance, and the correction of new vulnerabilities.

• Supports operating system patching in compliance with security policy and procedures.

• Support software deployments to customer sites.

• Familiarity with DoD and AF FISMA metrics reporting requirements.

• Travel up to 10%

• Work will be performed onsite.

Education: - Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of 6 years of prior related Experience or - Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $80,000 - 118,000K. Please note, salary is based on education, experience, and responsibilities.
