Responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring the department infrastructure.
Monitors and coordinates administration of Linux system software.
Provides input and resolutions to improve the security posture and efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Proactively maintains and develops Linux infrastructure technology to ensure continuous service is provided.
Engineers system administration-related solutions for various projects and operational needs.
Monitors system performance and capacity planning for efficiency.
Coordinates and implements software updates, patches, server hot fixes, workstations, and network hardware.
Creates and modifies scripts or applications to perform tasks.
Provides input on ways to improve stability, security, efficiency, and scalability of the environment.
Collaborates with cross-functional teams to develop automation strategies and deployment processes.
Utilizes best practices to manage systems and services across all environments.
Required Skills:
Required
• Key to the position is a Linux Administrator with a strong UNIX scripting background.
• Advanced knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Advanced knowledge of Shell (ksh, bash or csh)
• Advanced knowledge of protocols such as DNS, NTP, HTTP, SMTP, and SNMP.
• Advanced knowledge of Linux Filesystems and LVM
• Advanced knowledge of Unix Administration and scripting.
• Advanced knowledge of patching systems with fixes, maintain yum repositories and perform updates on the systems
• Intermediate knowledge of VMWare and SAN management and concepts.
• Intermediate knowledge of Linux backup
Desired
• AIX administration experience is a plus but not required.

In compliance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000. Please note, salary is based on education, experience, and responsibilities.
