Principal Systems (Requirements) Analyst [2021-165]

Essential Functions:

• Provide Engineering requirements allocation and development support to assigned projects in the areas of Command Destruct, Communications, Data Handling, Optics, Radar, Range Safety, Surveillance, Telemetry, Timing & Sequencing, and Weather with assistance from Engineering Technical Leads, as needed

• Facilitate and lead Requirements Working Group (RWG) discussions and more formal Project Requirements Review (PRR) meetings with the customer

• Manage requirements for assigned projects utilizing the Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) database; includes importing and exporting data, as needed

• Develop inputs to basis of estimates and proposals

• Analyze, develop, recommend and implement approaches to meet all assigned tasks and milestones

• Prepare documentation including briefing material and reports to communicate information to appropriate personnel including leadership and external customers

• Perform other duties as assigned

• Familiarity with the use of databases for organizing and managing information

• Communication skills (verbal and written) to communicate to management and customers

• Time management and organization skills, with the capability to manage multiple competing priorities

• Interpersonal skills to interact with internal and external customers

• The flexibility to work occasional non-duty hours or on weekends to support specific project or mission requirements

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team including facilitating team discussions, as assigned

• Dedication to achieving outstanding customer results

• Experience working with databases (familiarity with requirements management databases like DOORS preferred)

• Experience working with Windows based computer systems and components and Office tool suite

• Experience working with Project Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)

• Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle and requirements development process preferred

• Working knowledge of the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station Launch Range and its instrumentation preferred



Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, computer science or related technical field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
